Questions About Renting a Tesla for a Day?

A few words of advice. Relax. Like any other vehicle, an EV is a car. You can’t accidently enter the nuclear codes. At EV Rides, electric cars are all we do, so we’re experts and available to answer your questions. See our FAQs to get your started.

What About Charging?

We understand. Everyone wants to know about charging because right now it’s an unknown concept to most of America. Here’s the quick answer: Superchargers cover most of your charging needs, while other chargers can fill in for overnight charging. Yes, a bit more planning is required than with a traditional car, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. Want more info? Here’s the detailed, long answer that explains all the ways to charge.

Pro Tips on Supercharging

  1. 1

Pro tip on what to do when supercharging: Stop at the Silverthorne Supercharger when heading to Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper, Vail, or Beaver Creek, even if you want to keep pushing on. It is next to a Starbucks®, across the street from a Chipotle and a Which Wich®, and adjacent to the Outlets at Silverthorne.

  2. 2

Remember, after climbing to over 12,000 feet and driving through the Eisenhower tunnel, you and your Tesla will be ready for a quick recharge. Plus, your Tesla will then be charged and ready for whatever surprises await — you have to be ready for anything in the Rockies.

  3. 3

Two of those “anythings” are 1) how elevation gain can impact range (very important when driving through the Rockies on a skiing trip), and 2) how overnight range loss can occur in cold weather.

  4. We’ll send all the pertinent information you’ll need after you secure your reservation.
